Singapura

Singapore was my first international travel destination because one, a friend of mine used to work there and she’s the best tour guide, two, because I got the plane tickets for a cheap price, and finally because I heard and read so much about Singapore (SG) that I can’t wait to visit and learn the culture myself. I have lots of fun stories to share from my departure here in MNL to SG to the things I discovered, learned, and loved about SG and my flight back.

After this short vaca to SG, I appreciate my country more now than I used to be. It’s cheaper here–the food, drinks, clothes, fares, et. al. I also realized the Philippines has more to offer, but not yet developed, tourist spots than SG. We have beautiful and clean beaches, mountain areas, our history is way way back than SG, our culture–but I must say the Singaporeans preserved their culture well than we did coz we are more westernized and there are traditions that are forgotten because of that, and all these won’t bore you. You need a whole month just visiting and exploring Philippines.

But still there’s a major difference between a first world (SG) and a third world (PI)–but developing– country.
